Meaning In Mid-Life
MARILYN LAMMERT, BETHESDA THERAPIST: WHEN YOU'RE SEEKING MEANING IN LIFE
- Do you work really hard at being a good parent and good at your job?
- Are you busy all the time?
- Do you feel like something’s missing from your life but you don’t know what or how to find it?
I help people identify what’s missing. And I help them find that missing something. I’m guessing you’ve tried different things to deal with this feeling.
- Perhaps you work harder to manage time better so you can exercise, OR go to a yoga or meditation class thinking that may help.
- Maybe you give up, saying to yourself, “I can’t figure it out.”
- Maybe you try to block the dissatisfaction or yearning out of your mind.
My hunch is that none of these really stops the dissatisfaction and yearning. Exercise, yoga or meditation may help when you’re doing it. But they don’t connect you to the information in your deepest self about what you want and how to get it.
And that’s hard to do on your own. I know that. I’ve been there myself. And I’ve helped many others over many years with this issue. I remember the “busy-ness,” the longing, the dissatisfaction. I remember how finding the time and space to focus feels impossible.
I can help you find an opening for the questions. And I can help you find the wisdom that exists inside you. I know how to help you on the path to a life that has coherence. Which means being connected to the deeper meaning you’ve been missing. And, at the same time continuing to do what you must do and want to do in your everyday life.
Over the past 30 years, I’ve worked with hundreds of people. Many have seen how their dissatisfaction can be an opening to a happier and more meaningful life. Please find out more by taking a break from the ”busy-ness” and call me for a free 15 minute consultation or write me with any questions or concerns you have.
